Ryuzo Sake Brewery is a contemporary brewery based in Kyoto, Japan, that specializes in junmai daiginjo sake.  They aim to make high-quality sake approachable for drinkers, new and experienced alike, with a brand that’s modern, colorful, and illustrative while retaining touches of traditional calligraphy elements.  The dragon featured across the brand is named “Ryuzo”.

The Autopsy Report of a Drowned Shrimp is an obscure Japanese band from Kyoto that performs experimental funk whilst dressed as neon shrimp.  Their costumes are bursting with color and movement, adorned with flowers and fringe.  This screen print of a gig poster embraces the color and movement with a loose sketched style as well as my preference for character-driven art, and explores printing in fluorescent, translucent colors on dark paper.
